  • The black cat delicetly eating a pile of spaghetti on the sidewalk, watching me with bright green eyes
  • The clouds today are a pale violet, with hints of pink where they meet the buildings.
  • Beneath the earnest discussion of art in the gallery talk seeps the nursury music from next door, with a shrill off tune chorus of la-la-la, Shabbat Shalom.
  • The woman across me all swing their legs in different direction.

  • As soon as a woman grips her belly, the question of pregnancy swells. The madonna who lurks in every face.
  • How when I get a little angry it keeps seeping, like a tap I can't turn off.
  • The raven sitting on teh electric wire right across the kitchen window this morning. He spread his winds and dived down, right out of sight.
  • the soft plop of the rain against my jacket
  • The depth of the clouds, layered on over the other, with sudden edge of shocking white against the grey.
  • The man running with four littel boys gathered around him, and one more tariling behind. He had the pink and white complextion of an Englosh man, and looked like he wasn't sure how he got himself into this fix
