  • The loud clatter of hail on the walls and ceiling, like a giant had emptied a bag over the apartment.
  • The cool clean rainy streaming through the window, bleaching the edges of the plant, trailing over the fruitbowl. It is somehow both brighter and cooler than a regular morning

  • the three coffee mugs on the table form a triad of blue, yellow--and the color formed of combining them--green

  • The deep grey of the stormy sky intensifies the yellow of the fence and car, making them glow.

  • The sink as usual creates a mircrocism world of color and layeres space. The orange and blue bawls demarcate the edges in complementary colors, the warm orange piled on top, the cool blue sunk on the bottom. The brighter blue of the mugbalances out the pracarius piling.

  • alngside the sink, the overlapped space of the dropdrier, with its gradated blues and greens: the deep blue boxwith its back turned to the warm yellow plate. Between them, the yellow-green handle of the ladle, leaning over the blue box. In front a pale green top, to the side a blue-green overturned bowl. At the very edge, a bright, yellow green handle, returninig the eye to the yellows.

  • The stormy grey skies punctuated by hints of deep blue peering through.
  • The way Y. strokes her blankie as she falls asleep, each tentative back and forth motion of her fingers calming her down more.
