  • The early morning light coming through the wndow falls on the maroon hat, turning it into a blaze of color: the brim deep sienna, outlined in orange-pink light, the top a mix of purple and red.
  • The air felt heavy today. Like something in it was dragging, stuck.
  • A woman waiting for th elight in front of the old British pillbox. Her jecket echoes the color of the trees, her hair echoing the sutumnal bushes further back. 


  • On the laundry line are hung three items of landry in red, and gray and marroon. To the left are three brightly colored planters. An arrangent on threes, linked by the red.

  • The eight flames if the last night of Hanukka, reflected in the window. Beyond is the another menorah, with it's one eight reflected flames.
