Monday. December 4

  • The yellow leaves of the scattered autumn trees punctuate my day in splashes of gold: the women in the yellow jacket, walking between the green and yellow leaves; the glowing yellow leaves on the gnarled fig tree, the fall of yellow leaves glinting on the purply path ahead of me.

  • The old woman sitting perfectly still on the bench, eyes trained ahead unblinking, hands on her knees, feet aligned. Hot pink shoelaces tying her sneakers, hot pink bag beside her on the red bench. A grey and white cat steals behind her.
  • The tree broken up among the puddles on the asphalt.

  • The bright cascade of magenta leaves against the glaring white of the Jerusalem stone.

  • The mother sitting with her newborn on the phosphorent grass against the backdrop of the old monostary, Behind them, the yellow leaves create an upside-down halo around the brown tree. the stroller is a bright pink spot against the the shadows on the grass.
