Friday-Saturday Decmber 29-20

  • Tithing the fruit and vegitables, I was struck by th eharmonic beauty of the colors: the soft yellow of the banana, orange peach of the squash, orange red of the tomato, against the brighter yellow of the lemons.

  • The blue jeans, grey shirts, and white undershirts lining the edge of the house that rounds the corner, echoing the grey skies and the blue street signs

  • The flower seller sittin under his brightly colored parasol, skin weathered, heavy pouches under his eyes, blowing clouds of smoke into the bright bouquests around him.
  • Under the heavy grey skies, the colorful laundry stands out even more dramatically than usual. The hanging floor rags look flourecent.

  • The star shaped fruit of the Eucyliptus tree.
  • The bright laundry. punctuating the depressing concrete of the old Shiikun building. The top window features mostly army fatigues.

  • The overcrowded windows featuring a bouquet of pink floral sheets beneath a fluttering banner of brightly colored pink and red shirts and pants.

  • The old woman with dyed black her and bright red lipstick sitting on  a bench, smoking.
  • The cool early morning light, lighting the side of the couch a dull gold.
  • The shadow of the palm tree against the purple lighting of the Old City walls.
