Wednesday, November 29 (on duty during recess today, so get ready for the school yard...)
- the sun glinting blindingly over the worn white plaster on the stone wall, A thin strip overlapping the asphalt.
- The little girl in the lavender coat leaning over her homework in the middle of the playing field, oblivious to the milee around her. Behind her is her bright yellow backpack. She looks up, streightens, then goes back to scribbling. Another girl, wearing a heavy purple coat, comes up to sit behind her, eating a sanwitch.
- The crow sittig on top of the chimney, keeping watch over the field. Clouds behind him.
- The bright articficial grass on the field is split dramatically by the sun--deep cold black green slashed by warm yellow green. The group of kids sitting in the center keep up the pattern: the bright mint green of the girl's sweater echoed in the deeper veronese green of the boy's teashirt. A backpack on the floor is a shade of briht green somewhat between the two of them.
- The gibbous moon, peeking out from behind the clouds over the bus stop.
